Team Charter

Objective:

Achieve the One University, One Library vision by embracing working in a shared environment, leading others there, and resolving any challenges and issues associated with technical services.

Roles:

  • Meeting agenda building - anyone by Tuesday

  • Note taking - rotate among membership

  • Meeting facilitator - Co-chairs overall; particular agenda items have point person who facilitates.

  • Meeting timekeeper - Co-chairs

  • Track status of action items - Co-chairs

Expectations for working together:

  • Trust each other. Have confidence that the issues discussed will be kept in confidence.

  • Support each other and be genuine with each other about ideas, challenges, and feelings.

  • Come prepared for the meetings and discussions. Be present, in person and in attention.

  • Be accountable and responsible for the team and to the team. If commit to doing something, will do it.

  • Be open-minded and honesty is valued.

  • Look for win-win types of solutions, or those that benefit the greatest number of parties.

  • Base decisions on reasons, as much as possible.

  • Bring a sense of curiosity to discussions. Prioritize understanding the “why” of different points of view.

  • Maintain focus on the skill set each brings to the group, not individual campus interests.
