DISCOVERY VISION: We strive to design and implement the best possible discovery and delivery experience for our end users using data-driven decision making. We envision a network zone experience that will allow users to discover library materials across UC collections without sacrificing relevant results. As such, the default search and results interface should prioritize the success of typical users while providing additional functionality for more advanced users.

PPC: Need to wrap up our Day 1 decisions asap (aim for June 8th); MVP discussion

SILS-WG: The issue of continued access to old Alma production instances and sandboxes post-go-live has been escalated to ExL senior management and is in active discussion. The Alma Accounts Task Force presented a draft plan on how to assign accounts (due to the much higher number campuses are requesting now vs. when we negotiated pricing). A final plan will be presented to CoUL at the end of May for a decision in June. The SILS Transition Team Task Force charge should be approved at the next WG meeting and begin meeting in June.

Shared Governance TF: The charges and structure for the new (post-go-live) governance structure is in final draft form and will be reviewed/approved by the WG on June 11, with CoUL and DOC to approve June 14.

Local EUOS and IT groups are planning to use the frozen Test environment for training and screen captures.

Decision pages approved:

  1. AEFG: (Go-Live) Vendor bib records/overlay rules - AEFG w/ RMFG (MVP 003) Approved!

  2. DFG: (Go Live) Primo VE User Interface Branding Elements Approved

  3. DFG: (Go Live) Determine Boosting Factors for Launch Approved

  4. DFG: (Go Live) FRBR Configuration Approved

  5. DFG (FYI only): (Go Live) Rename UC-eLinks

    1. AEFG noted that their group would like to work with CDL UC-eLinks Team on the implementation of this

AEFG to tackle display logic rules for eResources. Will document practices at existing campuses and then reach out to us and CDL.

  • concerning decision re: branding. Jess Waggoner will share the link to the code to get the wordmark next to the search box.

  • Jess Waggoner will look into a way for developers to share/connect. Jess will ask Lena for a Slack channel for now. And ask to get the developers on google drive.
  • Sharon Shafer (Unlicensed) get list of all IT people (that her IC has?!) and share with on Slack and then everyone add developers to it.

Worldcat Integration with Primo VE: DFG recommends not harmonizing; campuses should consider choosing a recommended option for Worldcat integration based on their user needs

Campuses should be making good progress toward their integration; should be in place before freeze.

  • Jess Waggoner will clean up document, and send email when done. First to five over email.
