SILS Connect proposal

• What do we do about communication / communication plan?

  • What is it that needs to be communicated? Why?

  • Lightweight plan: here are the stakeholders, how to share out info, when do we know a meeting is needed?

• Communication from CDL groups into SILS: SOC needs to be informed when there’s a major SILS need as a courtesy check-in. We don’t want to be surprised. We can act as advisors / consultants / make a handshake.

  • Post on cdlib.org/sils website

  • Occasional Slack reminder

• Communication out from SOC: SOC doesn’t need to publish announcements or anything. SOC should make sure that each CDL program has an appropriate contact in an OST or OT and communication should flow that way.

  • Exception: system down notices

• Maybe we need to have a system down communications review.

• Many of these questions can be answered AFTER the CDL-SILS directory(“what does this have to do with me?”) is written.
