Update from DEIA Training & Resources Subgroup
DEIA Training & Resources Landing Page
Working List of DEIA Training & Resources
15 min
Can tag at page level only - not at title level
The current categories are draft categories - what should be changed?
Some resources fit more than one category but are not yet listed duplicatively
Is everything appropriate? Anything we should remove? Is it okay to add projects other libraries did?
We’re missing a few abstracts which will be added.
Have we thought about use cases for the list or how people would be approaching the list? For instance, someone might be looking for a few educational resources to help them get started with ethical metadata. Or someone might be looking for Alma/Primo solutions.

Mapping was good and helped us identify what to focus on.
Identified heavy need to focus on subject heading/vocabularies.
Identified two gaps in our deliverables (statement, agreement over NZ records)
People seem to be reluctant to work on NZ records because they think their work could be overwritten.
Highlight deliverables that are applicable for Phase 1
Add a status column to track where we are
- Marcia Barrett and Catherine Busselen will talk about next steps for the deliverables mapping
Who can contribute to this space?
Will the site be ongoing?
Rachel will be the next notetaker, then Cat
3 | Determine if there are any additional use cases Determine how we will use this - can some use cases be combined with criteria & scope as an introduction to the list of resources/training? Or was this list for internal purposes? | 10 min | An exercise to help inform us on categories for the resources list - probably not something to make public | We will use this information as part of the final report as rational for creating the resources document
4 | Determine if any resources should be removed Determine gaps in the list Need a volunteer to search for repository/OA versions of articles from Cataloging & Classification Quarterly and Technical Services Quarterly for resources that don’t have an OA link | 20 min | Updates Links/Formatting:

Review draft for criteria and scope
Determine if changes need to be made to the updated criteria & scope What should we recommend for a group to maintain this list? What types of resources are included? Not included? | 15 min |
We’ll discuss criteria and exclusions at the September 12 meeting.
Prefer that this is continuously updated.
What we provide as a deliverable will be a prototype that another group will maintain when we’re discharged.
Possible future group could be CMCKG
