Updates: Linked Data in the NZ

A Linked Data Integration Profile was added to the NZ. It should not impact campuses without Linked Data turned on. Alert Gem if you encounter any weirdness.

Primo Repository Team has a folder under Discovery to keep meeting notes, etc.

Team created a folder in github for each campus to do whatever they want to make sure they don’t mess up everyone else’s contributions.

Will require solutions to be added to a markdown file explaining the problem being solved and the javascript/css solution.

Working on solutions to make the snippets findable, for campuses to find out if a solution already exists to a problem they’re working on.

They have a slack channel in UCTech because not everyone on the team is also part of SILS.

Debrief: Primo Enhancement Voting

What are everyone’s thoughts about this year’s voting cycle?

Turnaround time (10 days from posting the enhancements to be voted on to actually voting) was too short for most campuses to consult with the various stakeholders.

The enhancement process had a couple of months between round 1 and round 2, it would have been helpful to see the top 20 results from round 1 to discuss so we knew what was coming. Then we would have used the 2 weeks to review Ex Libris’s solutions and finalize our local decisions, rather than all at once.

Jessica will take this information to the NERS subteam to develop a better process with more lead time for future enhancement cycles.

Jared's team is trending to not searching full text but having the expansion toggle for users available. Some subject/journal searches had good results, but not all.

Ex Libris said our issues with Deduplication with Electronic Resources should have been fixed in the June release.
