Decision Flow

INFORM: Stakeholders are informed up front that an issue or a decision is pending.

  • This allows stakeholders, including campus leadership, to identify gaps or raise questions as soon as possible.

    • Mechanisms for informing include email to SILS-News, agendas published on the confluence site, etc.

CONSULT / DISCUSS: The responsible group begins the work of investigating the issue, exploring the options, reaching out to stakeholders, and crafting a recommendation. A formal recommendation is issued to the approving group.

CONSULT / APPROVE: The approving group receives the recommendation and either requests revisions or clarification, or approves.

INFORM: Stakeholders are notified about the decision.

  • Mechanisms for informing include email to SILS-News and the decision pages on the confluence site.
