Hermine (UCLA)

• Has anyone else used Excel Alma Lookup? I’ve been playing around with it and it seems really promising!

• Weird display issues where local lds fields aren’t showing up in Primo for some records (example: https://search.library.ucla.edu/permalink/01UCS_LAL/1763hao/alma9943280113606533--Notes, Publication Information not displaying) but not others. We’re hoping it’s a semi-annual reindexing issue that will resolve itself. UPDATE: it’s a regression and they’re supposed to fix it tonight.

Ryan (UCSD)

• We’re trying to get authority control going in our IZ for our local records (have about 250K of them). We have the PTC job set up to do everything except LCNAMES. What it changes is spotty so we’re still communicating with Ex Libris about that.

TJ (UCD)

• We begin to incorporating cleaning up headings that appear on the Authority Control Task List from January 2024

• We will begin to import BIBFRAME descriptions from Sinopia into Production Alma Institutional Zone later this month. All these records are for locally purchased non-UC Davis ETDs only accessible for UCD affiliated persons. They will stay in IZ and will not be added to the WorldCat database (at least, for now.)

Consider in the future - retention of 908 fields. We have a lot of 908 fields that indicate a change only to field 040.
