Training Sandbox

Sandbox environment - is an Alma environment with a generic data sample that would allow you to start “playing around” with the system and get familiar with Alma prior to the project start date. This sandbox environment would also be used for training purposes.

The sandbox contains:

• Approximately 60,000 Bib Records and 70,000 Items

• Several user groups with user circulation activities

• 40+ vendors, and active ledgers and funds

• Sample POs, PO Lines, invoices and invoice lines

• Activated free e-resources

• Z39.50 configurations have been created for access to LC, British Library, WorldCat

• Additional data/configurations already completed 

There is a limit of 30 simultaneous users, but hopefully we don’t have issues with that. For now, we have been asked to keep this within the local implementation team.

I recommend that you explore the sandbox as you complete each of the sections in Getting to Know Alma.
