From Jean D.:

I. About keeping cataloger stats, there’s this. But maybe it is the type of work that can't be tracked?  https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Materials/050Alma_FAQs/Analytics/01_General#Can_reports_on_cataloging_activity_be_generated.3F

Plus, someone at Berkeley said: “that might be ok if it's not limited to the top 10 stat holders-"(top ten)"-??. UCB cat would lose a lot of granularity in the work we currently track, however, and I imagine there will be new categories of things to count, if such info is deemed important to count.”

II. About UCLA’s WorldCat Updates: Berkeley wonders about details: How much is to be given over to be updated? Exactly what kinds of things will they be? What about maps? What about large mvm sets … which have a lot of info in them? Will the serial records be provider neutral?

From UCLA:

During this pre-test load period we’re trying to do some planning. My local resource management group will be forming some subgroups, including

  • Record import (cross-functional with Acq)

  • E-bookplates and SPACs (special collections codes)

  • Cataloging statistics

  • SRLF processes

Also starting to get a lot of questions about local training and documentation. We’re scheduled for our ex Libris train-the-trainer training in April--trying to figure out what if anything we can start planning before that.

From CDL:

CDL IZ test environment is delivered.
