Decision-making process | Create views for each of the permutations. Are there cases for users requesting Search and comment on the results. Where is there a lack, what does this fill? What’s the use case for turning it on? (To surface better results for terms that aren’t in subject or title? But it doesn’t search everything, so there might be imbalance of things with full text dominating search results.)(students doing research using terminology that is common in the area of study but still new to the area so it’s not used in publication) Do we know how this interacts with the CDI Relevancy ranking? (It seems to still trump the full text) There’s very little documentation. Default is to always search in full text. |
