Recommendation
A Network Zone admin will switch the analytics_network_inventory_available_for_members and analytics_catalog_available_for_members configurations to true in the network zone instance and will distribute these settings to the Institutional Zones.
Individual Institutional Zones may still choose whether they want to turn on analytics_network_inventory_available_for_my_institution and analytics_catalog_available_for_my_institution which are the corresponding settings on the IZ side.
Reasoning
Allowing NZ e-Inventory to be viewed in the IZs' Analytics will make it easier for IZs to know which portfolios are available in the NZ and which are not. In addition, it will likely be useful for statistical reports.
Allowing the option to share NZ created reports in Analytics will allow for quicker collaboration when jointly creating reports as well as allow distribution of standardized templates which could be useful for certain situations.
Neither option would share sensitive information amongst the Institutional Zones.
Background
Accessing Network Zone E-Inventory
This setting allows a campus to see portfolios in the network zone from within Analytics. It only shares e-inventory fields, nothing else. In order for an IZ to see this information, the analytics_network_inventory_available_for_members configuration must be set to true in the network zone as well as analytics_catalog_available_for_members set true in the specific IZ.
Note from Ex Libris:
“If you are working with a Network Zone and want to see information for your institution and your Network Zone, work only with the Portfolio Details for Consortia folder. If you want information for your institution only, you can work with the other measurements, but make sure to filter according to your institution. Otherwise, some measurements will be institution only-related and others will be related both to the Network Zone and to your individual institution.”

Sharing NZ Analytics Report Design with IZ
Reports created in the Network Zone can be shared by setting analytics_catalog_available_for_members to true in the NZ and analytics_catalog_available_for_my_institution to true in the IZ. Similar to other shared reports, when an IZ runs a report created in the NZ, it will only display data from its own IZ.
