4. Assign homework to name listservs.

• What other content, if any, goes into the custom welcome letters? Or, do we use the same template for all? 

  1. Nothing -- it will be overwhelming. We don’t want to spook the herd.

• Should we set up new confluence spaces now so we can send the links in the welcome letter or wait until January? We could set the spaces to not be available until January; however, it may cause confusion and many members asking why they can’t edit.

• Draft welcome letter to chairs? What should be included? Would we do an orientation/kickoff for chairs separately from the other kickoffs? If so, do we include a save the date?

  • We have provisional chairs so be mindful not to overwhelm them. 

  • Create a checklist of work they need to do - doodle poll, picking a final chair & vice chair.

• Will we re-use some of the existing SILS listservs? We can reuse listservs. If so, the archive would continue.

  • Reuse as many as possible

• Hermine will customize the welcome letters for each group

Welcome letter approved!

Chair orientation, maybe not meeting for provisional chair. Will wait on what will be done to orient named leader at start.
