Caitlin & Neil

Caitlin (SILS Service Manager) and Neil (Project Manager of Training and Outreach Coordinators) introduced themselves

Timeline from ExLibris is partial at this point; overview of big timeline with some details filled out but there are pieces that we will want to identify where we don’t have all the information we need

Implementation Timeline

PMs also have a private Basecamp instance that they discuss the timeline with EL prior to it being added to the full implementation Basecamp instance, includes training schedule for second round of training (early November to end of January)

Also includes 10 workshops (one per campus); 3-day workshops included in contract; slated for April/May; we will need to work through what those workshops include, can we customize these in any way

Alma Essentials/Administrative – happening now

Alma Certification (September through November)

November-January: we will run a second round of training for non-vanguard campuses

PrimoVE trainings just got posted to Basecamp

Some additional trainings/one-offs by specific areas that are somewhat buried in Basecamp that we should be aware of

@Neil Weingarten and/or @Caitlin Nelson will get clarification from ExL about if we can post exercises to confluence.

@Neil Weingarten and/or @Caitlin Nelson will comb basecamp for trainings that will be included in a “big picture” training timeline.

ALMA Vanguard Training Plan and Questions

Team members understand the training plan, expectations for communications, and how to track training.

Question: Are non-vanguard campuses allowed to go through the training at this point?

Question: can we post the training exercises to Confluence? CN posted to basecamp here: https://3.basecamp.com/3765443/buckets/15553579/messages/2829188712

We can discuss this as a group. The trainings are open to anyone but for our own purposes, perhaps we can decide whether we would support them at this point (communicating weekly, etc. during just the round that the campus is included in)
