Spring Workshop Discussion

We have 10 workshop to schedule in the spring.

When these workshops were negotiated, UCD Law was not in scope. Davis has indicated that they will need additional training due to law’s inclusion.

Would be good to find a low impact solution to bringing in UCD law in the workshop schedule. Think creatively.

Initially Law was a seen as a small professional school, were unsure of how EXL would incorporate their records into the system.

Law ill be appended / merged into davis records before we go live. The consequence of this is that Davis main will need to do a large chunk of work they are unfamiliar with.

UCI is also bringing a law school into the cohort, and may be a potential point of collaboration with UCD law for the workshops.

Comment from Dominique: IT member from each campus is working on identifying day 1 work, may be able to apply that here.

Question from Dominique: we are still unable to provide concrete answers for what the spring workshops are.

Lena: it is up to the Internal Training team to allocate how the spring workshops are allocated.

Should have a meeting with EXL and IT to discuss details around the spring workshops

Brian: How much say do we get in the content of the workshops? What we have heard from the PMs and Training folks is that they have a standard remote workshop agenda (same one as we are running for the vanguard currently). However, Marci has indicated that the agenda can be tailored to each campus.

Neil - focus during spring will be testing and preparing for go-live training. Workshops should compliment these focuses.

Dominique: how many hours per week x 10 do we get? Concerns about consolidating down to 3 days per week in a remote situation. Should discuss in IT and bring a request to EXL.

Need constraints on time. Neil will ask Marci for this.

If the focus of the workshops is to go through issues that campuses are having, it may not be enough to merge the live campuses.

Katie: as an alma campus, probably ok to merge the live campus workshops - focus on network zone is good.

bring IT into a meeting with EXL to discuss workshops.

Workshop survey

IT is concerned about putting forward a workshop survey where we ask questions we can’t make changes based on.
