Trying to coordinate a group buy for the five campuses that are moving to Alma. CDL has written to OCLC looking for a quote.

When this quote is received Joe Ferrie and CDL will approach SILS leadership to see if there’s SILS funding available for this.

There may be some complicated timing issues. If OCLC has to push NCIP configuration through the production environment we might not be able to implement until go-live or after.

Approved.

- Config meeting recording

Group members should add to the testing worksheet. There’s a new tab to look at.

As well as assigning the notifications to e-mail accounts.

We need to check with the ICs to see if having generic operator accounts is acceptable during test.

We may need to coordinate with ILL Ops and come up with testing strategies to test the random rota.

The AFN Config discussion recording is available on the Test Phase page with time stamps called out.

We will need web service keys for the lender of last resort to be implemented. Someone on each campus will have to have an account with the Ex Libris developer page to get a web key.

VDX will also need updated mapping tables based on the new patron types in Alma.

Parking Lot

Ex Libris may need to help us write a flexible rule for phone numbers to allow for international numbers and different formats. This could potentially be a rule that will accept any string, rather than something specific.

It sounds like multiple campuses lost existing recalls and holds when moving to Alma.

Members can add to the parking lot issues that they feel need to be considered or tracked.

RLF Non-Circ items requestable for in-house use

Will need to test in Test Phase

There are some hacks used for library-use only items that can’t be checked out and back in because it will kick off a return process. This will have to be figured out for ExL.

Davis tried creating a “Reading Room” circulation room. This was difficult for circulation staff to manage. There is now a transit step between ILL and the circ desks that allows the item to be checked out again before initiating the return process.

This issue does not just apply for LUO items, but specifically to the RLFs.

Mark will reach out to Lynne Grigsby regarding this question, and based on this discussion, Joe F. and Elizabeth will start a discussion in Basecamp with Ex Libris if needed.

RLF Ghost Records Discussion

This decision will be worked out throughout the test phase.
