All

There are two draft config forms in our Google Drive.

These forms will inform which patrons have access to the Fulfillment Network.

These forms also specify which items will be available for circulation via the Fulfillment Network.

Members should look at the forms and bring up possible changes for discussion.

Decisions Pages

Joe

Strategy for Resource Sharing with Worldshare ILL:

This Decision Page suggests that we move forward with two approaches in parallel.

One involves sending an Illiad e-mail that gets translated and pushed into VDX which would get rid of the General Electronic Service.

This wouldn’t require campuses to use Illiad.

Requests would go from the UC ROTA out to Worldshare ILL via this application that translates an Illiad e-mail into something VDX can read.

This would allow for less mediated requests. There are more details that need to be worked out.

Joe should know whether or not this is possible by the next meeting.

Post Go-Live ALMA/VDX NICP Integration:

This outlines all of the UCs going in together on one NCIP integration with VDX. Negotiating collectively and implementing similarly on each campus with the same two messages.

-Strategy Decision Page approved.

-Alma/VDX NICP Integration approved.

Proxy User Monograph AFN Request:

The first test looks like a success.

A decision page might be necessary to ensure that all shipped items come with a transit slip.

Parking Lot

There are some questions around what other things this group might add to the parking lot. Expiration dates and whatnot.

  • We may need to revisit our discussion regarding what fields are passed between campuses in the Network Zone. (Name, email, expiry date, etc.)

  • The ICs were asking for more information about the GES, the decisions around it and how it might be set up.

  • There may be a way to use Iliad as a lender of a last resort and tie that into VDX with an adapter.

Members can add to the parking lot issues that they feel need to be considered or tracked.
