Initial Questions/Considerations from Discovery:

What would be the best way for us to engage with your group on this work? (for instance, would you like to assign one or more of your group members to join our subgroup? or would you prefer to have our sub-group engage with the entire Fulfillment group at regular meetings? or something else?

Do you have any materials that would be useful for us to review now? (eg. specific confluence pages, testing scripts, usability documents)

Do you have any specific usability questions or issues you would like us to include? (As part of our process we will work with you to identify tasks that users need to be able to complete, but if you have some on hand, that would be great to know!)

• Discovery Group will be evaluating the user experience for discovering and requesting interlibrary loan materials within Primo, and they’d like our help with the effort.

• Here is a link to their Usability Testing page in Confluence (it includes some of the UX materials their group will be using).

• Might try to have a meeting to learn more about their work and share notes based on our experiences.

Resource Sharing: Pickup from YRL

Fulfillment Resource Manager role needs to be scoped to the borrowing library.

Resource Sharing menu > Borrowing requests

UCSD:

Fulfillment > Borrowing Request > Pick up from shelf

Select item > Print slip link

Fulfillment > Scan In Items

Creates Transit Letter

Item is now in transit

UCLA:

Scan In Items: Scan in barcode.

Should move the item to the hold shelf.

Item was checked back in.

UCSD:

Item looks like it’s in transit.

Fulfillment > Scan In items:

Item scanned in, shows as returned.

Successful.

Clicking on the barcode and then the “History” tab shows the path the item took. selecting “Fulfillment activities” shows which operators interacted with the item.

Parking Lot

There are some questions around what other things this group might add to the parking lot. Expiration dates and whatnot.

• We may need to revisit our discussion regarding what fields are passed between campuses in the Network Zone. (Name, email, expiry date, etc.)

• The ICs were asking for more information about the GES, the decisions around it and how it might be set up.

• There may be a way to use Iliad as a lender of a last resort and tie that into VDX with an adapter.

Members can add to the parking lot issues that they feel need to be considered or tracked.
