  • Next Steps?

  • Additional Support Needed?

There are about 10 people across working groups testing this issue. Testing is ongoing.

When the group has the next steps figured out they’ll reach out for any additional support needed.

We should have more information about timing and tickets in the next few weeks.

Cash limit blocks can be automated and would be set up locally. It appears that there aren’t any automated consortial blocks.

Fulfillment Administrator access is needed to configure blocks.

There was a patron at UCSB that received an AFN item from UCI, there were bills attached to the patron record that blocked circulation. The bill was related to another item that had been recalled. Because they had an item that had been recalled, they were blocked from checking out another item.

Moving forward patrons will have to acclimate to working with the lending UC on bills.

Work Plan : UC Library Directory

The directory would be useful for staff in direction patrons.

Joe will pull information from the billing survey into the directory and put a draft into Confluence.

Letters Shared Across AFN and link to UC Library Search

RS OST started working on this deliverable. F OST will take the lead on this one.

Courtesy notice causing majority of pain points?

The Resource Sharing team discussed some letters that have created some confusion among patrons. Specifically courtesy and overdue notifications.

Some campuses have different text blocks for local and network users.

Some campuses have automated return receipts turned on.

Members with examples of letters that have code differentiating between local and NZ users will share them out.

Parking Lot

Capture important topics for future discussion

There was a discussion from Phase 4 around Reading Rooms and how that functioned in Alma. One of the campuses (UCR?) might have put in an EXL request around this. This comes into play when there are library use only resource sharing items.

Add library use only items and relevant configurations to the agenda.
