Background info:

(See Chris Barone’s 8/9 email)

Transition to next phase of SILS. Our group will be sunset in December and we have three more meetings to do that transition. Lessons learned, we can add details after our post-mortem session.

Group will do post-mortem in October, 4 questions to address will be sent to the group by Xiaoli in advance.

Group’s work handoff can be complete asynchronously.

Document clean-up will be done starting next month, Xiaoli will start this work and share with the rest of the group for review and edits.

Legacy ETDS

ExLibris suggested that UCs should use a separate product for digital collections, they don’t consider them electronic resources. Don’t know what tools can be used.

No update yet if CDL can help with ETDs going forward.

Plan to manage as a UC collection.

Need to come up with recommendation from Collections perspective.

3

Sharing License Info

Determine if it is desirable and feasible to store Tier 1-3 licensing data & business terms in a place where we all can access it

10

all

Background information:

  • In our new shared tool, it would seem quite beneficial to share across campuses any licenses we have, so that we can compare terms obtained previously within the system.

  • If we are One University, One Library sharing such data should not be an issue.

How that will work logistically?

Should we use Alma or another collaboration tool? Do we want to see the documents or how they have been coded?

Will pass this question to the e-resources group to identify the place for sharing licensing documentation.

Is there a suitable place in Alma or should another tool be used?

John Riemer will be reaching out to e-resources group with a question about identifying a suitable place in Alma or another collaboration tool.

4

Collaborative Collection Development - Analytics

Determine if it desirable and feasible for each campus to have people with NZ access for report writing purposes

10

all

Example Use case:

If we wish to see things like how many campuses have a given title on standing order, will we need and can we all have NZ access for the Analytics?

Analytics webinar/workshop next week will have a session about analytics consortia.

Xiaoli will post this as a question during workshop during session about analytics reports for consortia
