Post-mortem discussion points noted in document. Themes: Discussion topics happening in multiple groups; Ex Libris training disappointment; Labyrinthian governance structure actually worked; Unexpected need to work out campus-level access to NZ; RLF structure going forward; System migration fatigue; Migration is done but the work will continue for a year or more; Successful collaboration across campuses, and with CDL, in ways without opportunity in the past; Including base-level staff in process key to success; Unexpected hiccup with number of user accounts permitted.

Discussion of AEFG report to us

Discussion of AEFG response to the TSELG query regarding license management sent in September

20

  • No current shared storage space for uploading original license documents

  • Limitations on the licensing tool, and if we want to use it we might have to reshape our practices, means we need to look more closely at whether we want to use it, how, why

  • UCSC maintaining separate database of license negotiations, even those that fail

  • Would this get kicked over to SCLG - putting licenses into shared box space, allowing access across campuses?

  • Need naming conventions if shared space for storing licenses

  • John and Xiaoli will create a request to send to SCLG to get it onto an agenda

@John Riemer and @Xiaoli Li create request to SCLG to discuss shared storage space for uploading original licenses
