Welcome

Catch-up and gathering together

10:00-10:03 am

all

Rose/thorn: brief round-robin of something that made you smile, and/or something that is a bit of thorn. Voluntary.

Announcements/Questions

Information sharing

10:04-10:11 am

all

  • On our Overview page, I’ve added a link to the SILS all decision roll-up page; it can be difficult to locate this page otherwise. The All-decisions roll-up page is a handy way to view all SILS-related decisions and the stage of each.

  • Other announcements - anyone? - none

Concerns about SILS implementation

Discussion, create a page decision-y/n

10:12-10:27 am

all

  • Do we have concerns about SILS implementation that we (PSELG) might want to discuss with the functional groups for which we are responsible for deciding issues: ILL, fulfillment, discovery, lending/borrowing practices?

  • Example: here’s a page put together by the Archives & Special Collections ELG, Brainstorm Revisions SILS Implementation

  • It may be helpful to wait until the Vanguard Phase launches before we focus on potential concerns, instead of trying to imagine what we would have concerns about in the future. The pre-mortem exercise surfaced the group’s concerns already. There are enough structures in place to ensure that public services issues get escalated to this group appropriately.

  • A buddy system is being created in order to allow non-vanguard campuses and staff to use the vanguard sandboxes.

4

General communication concerns

Discussion, feedback, possible action items for improvement

10:28-10:43 am

all

  • Are you receiving sufficient information about SILS general issues, tools, training, etc.?

  • Are you receiving sufficient information about SILS PSELG issues, tools, training, etc.?

  • What improvement to communication would you like to see?

  • General temperature check of the group: communication is working well and we are getting enough information from the systemwide governance structure and the local implementation groups.

5

Meeting with SILS Communication Operation Leads (COL), an opportunity to provide our feedback

Discussion, feedback,

10:44-10:49 am

all

  • Does anyone else want to attend the meeting with the COLs? Rikke and I are both attending.

  • Here are the questions the COLs have scheduled for discussion. Do you want to give feedback? Would you prefer to provide input in this meeting or via a google form?

    • How do you communicate your group’s initiatives and milestones within the cohort vs. UC Libraries vs. a general audience?

    • How do you communicate your group’s initiatives and milestones within the cohort vs. UC Libraries vs. a general audience?

    • How you feel about the feedback you’re receiving, both within the cohort and from UC campuses through group representatives?

    • Are you pleased with your group’s Confluence space as a communications tool?

  • Group members can email Beth if they have questions/concerns or wish to attend the meeting with the COLs.
