Announcements

All Chairs has not met. Will be mentioning that we will be looking at the "harmonization" part of our charge.

Ex Libris support is supposed to give us 28 days before a ticket closes. Previously 14 days (4 weeks instead of 2 weeks). Only applies to NEW tickets.

Slack/General Question

UCB: The Ebrary availability issue (items displaying available despite portfolio being deactivated) from earlier has apparently self-resolved before anyone was able to investigate the issue. (Could be related to a delay when portfolios are activated/deactivated).

Work plan

20

What do we want to work on this year?

Discovery Work plan

Do we want work on “older” items?

Are Items that need to added?

How does Next Discovery Experience effect our work?

We need to pare down the work plan, update stuff that’s been completed. Review priorities.
Accessibility team is in progress and Ex Libris is focusing on the Next Discovery Experience which is supposed to include the accessibility concerns.

Concern that, despite Ex Libris saying that they are working on Primo VE and the New Discovery Experience at the same time, many improvement tickets are bounced back with "Wait for the NDE" as a resolution.

Q: Is the AI research assistant going to be configurable? Opt-in? We do know it ONLY queries CDI records.

We’ve identified a short list of items to try and focus on. We still have half of the work-plan to get through. (Next: Newspaper Search)

Take a look and see which lines can be consolidated.

Will add AI Research Assistant to the list.
