---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | SILS Equitable and Inclusive Metadata Project Update | Marcia Barrett (EIMP co-Chair) will provide an update on recommendations and possible impacts on Discovery. | 15 | Tricia Lampron (Guest, UCI) Marcia Barrett (Guest) UCSC | Goal: find ways to update subject headings with better terminology. May involve display normalization rules, local authority files, or other technical solutions. Still unsure whether there will be a dedicated project team or work will be divided among existing SILS groups. RM will have final authority on decisions that affect all campuses, and will be able to perform testing. | Discovery will remain available to help with this work, especially with technical implementation and with NZ work. No timeline yet - we will wait to hear from EIMP before moving forward. |

| Jess at UCSC is curious if any other campuses are using Libkey++ and the Nomad banner feature. Gem provided a brief update on the workstream improvement team and that the team has floated ideas about the consolidated library card display in Primo VE, as well as allowing IZ display logic configurations to apply to NZ records. |
