Learn relevant news, context, decisions, etc. from PPC meeting

10

Claudia

Not a lot of news relating directly to DCFG; we still have our single task.

3

Q&A with ExL (Debrief)

Do we agree our questions were answered? Are there follow-up questions/new questions to be asked?

10

All

Yes, we agreed that our questions were mostly answered. No follow-up questions at present, but we expect that new question will crop up and we move forward. Questions for ExL can be brought to the group and shared up to Basecamp by CH or RJ.

CH will follow up with ExL for confirmation on UCSC’s question via Basecamp.

4

Recap from Calisphere/DAMS Meeting

Help prepare for next meeting (agenda)

15

Lisa + anyone else who was on the call

LS reported that there was not a lot of time for discussion on the call, but there is interest in continuing this conversation in this venue.

Decision: We will move forward with setting up an additional call with the Calisphere Users Group.

LS will contact Adrian Turner & Christine Kim about scheduling a separate follow-up meeting.

5

Environmental Scan progress reports

Are we done (for now)?

15

Team

We are closing in on completion of the environmental scan.

There was discussion about next steps. The group is interested in working through different possibilities or strategies for harvesting different types of resources/repositories into Primo and/or Alma. There was agreement that this deeper dive into particular resources or resource types will require more conversation at the campus-level.

There is also a desire to look more closely at ExL’s documentation, specifically Loading Records from External Sources into Primo VE.

Decision: Over the coming weeks, we will give each other tours of our campus' specific collections/repositories.

6

Vision statement

Share what this is.

5

Claudia

We have been asked to come up with a vision statement. This statement should be forward thinking and reflect the opportunities we see arising out of our work.

CH will produce a draft statement; we can discuss it over Slack or in our 6/15 meeting.
