Questions for us?	20	Josephine Tan Jess Waggoner	Discovery VG functionality testing work Discovery Draft Decision Pages Discovery Usability Testing work Subgroup work specific to partnering with Digital Collections (for the month of Nov): Discovery Group members: Sharon Shafer (UCLA) & Michael Yonezawa (UCR) Goal: Evaluate the user experience for discovering and accessing Digital Collections content imported to Primo Scope: Materials selected by the Digital Collections group (Calisphere) Search/discovery of these materials (including scopes, facets, etc.) Accessing Digital Collections materials Evaluation Process: Understand user needs This might involve reviewing personas, talking to SMEs in the partner group or local groups, etc. Develop user scenarios Articulate these user needs in the form of task scenarios that can be performed and documented Create User Flows Perform each task scenario carefully documenting the process as a user would experience it, including screens the user would see, links they would click, etc. Identify Pain Points Identify points in the process that you expect to negatively impact user experience (confusion, frustration, etc.) We will be working with Sharon and Michael from Discovery FG. Do we want to consider having our own subgroup the meest with them or invite them to our Monday group meeting, Rachel had 2 questions How does or could we align this work with our testing/evaluation work? Do we have other, competing Nov priorities? Would they (Discovery FG) be amenable to our adding our questions from the sheet. Perhaps we should share the sheet with them?	We will invite Sharon and Michael to our Monday meeting.
3	News from PPC (Policy & Practice Coordinators) meeting	Learn relevant news, context, decisions, etc. from PPC meeting	5	Claudia	PPC discussed ETD issue (along with Open Access issue more generally) and decide it was out of scope for the Vanguard. Will revisit later. PPC will discuss the Google/Hathi Trust issue at next meeting.
