Configuration Work

Go over this two week preparation before meeting on the 30th.

  • ICs have asked us to take a look at the implementation forms before they are disseminated to campuses. The goal being to identify potentially important areas. This is what we had originally thought we would need to take a look at

    • Fulfillment Tab

    • General Tab (Should pose question to ExLibris about whether or not this can just be local configuration.)

    • Booking Tab (upon further review, we may not need if we’re not allowing borrowing of course reserves)

All

  • Configuration meeting with Ex-Libris- July 30th 10-12pm. We should attend. Local representation will be figured out by local IC reps/SILs groups

    • Before July 30th: Review Configuration recorded sessions, guide, documentation and sample form [UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCSF]

    • Friday, July 31st: EXL will provide a configuration form partially pre-populated (with Migration form inputs) to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, and UCSF.

      • No config for CDL / Network Zone

      • No config for UCSB

    • August 14th- Draft configuration form due

    • August 21st- Finalized configuration form due

There are some questions around what other things this group might add to the parking lot. Expiration dates and whatnot.

Members can add to the parking lot issues that they feel need to be considered or tracked.

DDS Decision Page (Go-Live) Document Delivery Service (DDS) Setup

UCI DDS Demo with Fulfillment and ILL FG Aug 13th meeting

Feedback received on this:

An additional operation factor may be needed. (Item type)

There needs to be a smooth way to transfer a DDS request into a Borrowing ILL Request when necessary.
