Decision Review and Vote

Review/Vote/Send to ICs

- open days discussion and $5 recall fee

Ex-Libris changed the NZ borrowing TOUs related to resource sharing requests to unlimited for us. It was an NZ adjustment. Last meeting, everyone voted to change both to no limit.https://3.basecamp.com/3765443/buckets/15553579/messages/3828639337

Format of Item Owner drop down at checkout:

Discovery FG is polling their members.

-Elizabeth will change the recall and hold shelf lengths to 7 open days.

-Elizabeth will put in another Basecamp ticket for ExL clarifying whether or not FG members can change some of the NZ TOUs.

To Do For Go-Live

All

Go-Live Renew Workflow for VDX Requests:

A few of the campuses handle this similarly. Some of the group members with experience using Alma and VDX will provide information to Elizabeth for the Decision Page.

Go-Live Alma “On-Hold Shelf Letter”:

Davis is working on some code to insert a contact information block into the letter.

It could be possible to create an XSL file that could provide pickup information for each campus. This would require some management and update.

There are two google docs that require information from each campus. They are located in the FG Google Drive.

-Revisit the “On Hold Shelf Letter” topic next week.

-Jason and Scott will write some workflow documentation outlining how campuses might handle renewing VDX items. Elizabeth will add this information to the Decision Page.

-FG members should add their campus information to the documents provided by Jason in Google Drive.

RLF Non-Circ items requestable for in-house use

Will need to test in Test Phase

There are some hacks used for library-use only items that can’t be checked out and back in because it will kick off a return process. This will have to be figured out for ExL.

Davis tried creating a “Reading Room” circulation room. This was difficult for circulation staff to manage. There is now a transit step between ILL and the circ desks that allows the item to be checked out again before initiating the return process.

This issue does not just apply for LUO items, but specifically to the RLFs.

Mark will reach out to Lynne Grigsby regarding this question, and based on this discussion, Joe F. and Elizabeth will start a discussion in Basecamp with Ex Libris if needed.
