Fulfillment Network Config Forms Review

Review the entries Joe, Alison, and I have populated ahead of the draft version due date (Friday), and make any edits needed.

The two forms are in drive here:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kqFCJgSNM1JSMdq-RebG4xyAI_K1iwXzxZkoaW5JjSA/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11bfR_GrDDuGP2peTaRiDd55UiLNRWatTDJ-6EJqq05c/edit?usp=sharing

All

  • Reminder that we’ll fill these forms in again for Test Phase.

  • Some of the questions are vague.

  • Descriptions are located in the documentation tab.

  • In the “Members” tab, Column I might list exceptions to the unit codes in Column G.

  • It’s unclear what impact the groups on the “Fulfillment Groups” tab will have.

  • There are some capabilities in Alma to penalize a patron after they have returned the items.

  • There are some questions about “walk-in” patrons and how loan periods are decided.

  • UCSD built in shorter loan times with renewals for items that come in with longer due dates.

  • If the system defaults to the institution policy, less configuration is required in these forms.

  • These documents are the draft of what will be submitted next Friday.

  • Fulfillment Group Tab: Group A will contain all Vanguard members.

Vanguard members will go back in and add information specific to their institutions.
Elizabeth will ask how fines are assessed for users in “Loan TOU” tab.

Test Plan

This is a sample test plan outline borrowed from the other FGs. We can take a look and see if something like this will work for us. We can cut it down to just our specific needs

Parking Lot

There are some questions around what other things this group might add to the parking lot. Expiration dates and whatnot.

Members can add to the parking lot issues that they feel need to be considered or tracked.
