FRBR Preferred Record

Identify pros and cons of the various FRBR Preferred Record Options

UCSC’s testing: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1j4BlFs4SIIe02l1kWJz2Wa9h1O9nj6PQrF_tMq5ZPio/edit?usp=sharing

Campuses with FRBR turned off:
Berkley, UCSB, Davis (also has Dedup turned off), UCLA (also has Dedup turned off), UCSD (Dedup is enabled)

Con: Lots of duplicate records.

We need to see the pros and cons of the various settings so campuses can choose the “least bad option” for their individual needs.

We need to create an ideal functionality that we expect to see from the FRBR behavior so that it can be presented to Ex Libris (might reach out to other ELUNA campuses and the ELUNA Primo Working Group for buy in and weight)
