Go over recommendations for Alma libraries | 20 min | C. Busselen | CB added a tab for Alma Libraries to the Working Copy of Data Cleanup Spreadsheet. UCSB database will be cloned for Vanguard and loaded last. UCSB will copy local MMS ID into 996 $9 LOCAL. Alma Analytics will be available in the Vanguard. This will be helpful in data testing. Alma local indexes will be migrated but may not work if local 9xx data has been moved from the indexed 9xx field. CB has created a document Alma Normalization Rules used for data migration preparation Alma libraries that are not part of the Vanguard will likely need to create use cases to request access to the Vanguard for testing | If Alma MMS IDs are not retained in Vanguard, sets based on MMS IDs may be lost. Originating system field in bib records will likely change on most records – IZ records will contain originating system from the NZ master record. CB creating an Analytics set of originating systems used - they need to know where their cataloging comes from. Originating system has been a way of gathering records from vendors (i.e., Marcive). | @Catherine Busselen add the following recommendations to the Alma spreadsheet--clean up sets and export sets based on MMS ID. MMS ID will be searchable in the SILS but the set itself won’t be retrievable @Catherine Busselen Keep up with options chosen and document record numbers for Vanguard data testing @Catherine Busselen Include testing MMS IDs in the Vanguard. There’s not clarity around when/how Alma library MMS IDs will be changed. @Marcia Barrett Add additional questions or testing recommendations to Alma tab on Data Cleanup Spreadsheet @Erika Quintana Add additional questions or testing recommendations to Alma tab on Data Cleanup Spreadsheet @Joshua Chaim Hutchinson (Unlicensed) Add additional questions or testing recommendations to Alma tab on Data Cleanup Spreadsheet @TJ Kao Add additional questions or testing recommendations to Alma tab on Data Cleanup Spreadsheet | |
