New meeting time!

RM - 880 issue with merge rules - Stacy emailed Hermine with Acq group’s responses so far. (And note that RM has adjusted AEFG Test Merge to correct the 880 issue so OK to continue using that merge rule.)

Stacy discussing this with Michelle Polchow of E-Res team, waiting on resolution of some CDL related issues before committing to significant collaborative/crossover infrastructure - hoping for some more info to help shape this by the end of the week.

About Work Plans

Pick/choose a few deliverables and prioritizing them.

Phase 4 Work Handoffs

GOBI workflows - any issues that would require revision of the Ph 4 Decision?

  • Information gathering during the 880 query re: how import profiles are working.

  • Using API for ordering ebooks and behavior : default is will match with CZ collection (list of what collections are). Otherwise can turn that off - but that generates standalones. Ebooks good item for cross-group discussion. Laura to share with group if more from Ex Libris. (See Ex Libris documentation on Configuration E-Collections for APIs.)

  • 003 Decision Page => Turn into new pages for this phase? Re: API, Re: Ebook Management (in particular for GOBI import profiles)

  • Loading brief records: had approved loading to IZ with post-load NZ-matching. That is working for now. Concern was too much clean-up needed in NZ if Update Inventory didn’t overlay correctly. UCLA experimenting with two import profiles running against IZ and NZ. Set up to notify Cataloging for IZ loads that need NZ-matching.

    • Campuses seem to be managing OK. A more “exploratory” work item for refinement compared to ebooks management.

Reporting - First round of examples in the Shared folder for Analytics? Stacy emailed Tom Bustos for help from the OT on identifying/reaching out to other shareholders about expectations for reports.

  • Discussion re: destination: Shared>Community>UCS could have subject folder. Note that this would be visible to whole Ex Libris community, so should probably be “final” versions. Note that UCS_Network is for NZ data reports vs. UC-wide sharing of IZ-type reports.

  • Revisit of AEFG Phase 4 spreadsheet for recording reports in use, function, etc.

  • Distinction between institutional reporting and organizational/workflow reports.

  • Scope? What might be asked for re: systemwide reporting from the Acquisitions area. What is out of scope?

  • Suggesting Analytics workshops session - either acq area only or cross-functional.

What else can we dig into?

@Laura Fouladi will start a draft decision page regarding APIs and ebook management for import profiles.
All: investigate local reporting in Acq area. Discuss at campus level for which reports are in a shareable version.
@Stacy McKenna to bring up Analytics preferred practices (i.e., creating new folders, “vetting” etc.) in All Chairs. Also to bring up possibility of UC-side Analytics workshop/ session (i.e., not Ex Libris-hosted).
