@Christine Barone (Unlicensed) will let PPC-SC know if she can rearrange her other 3 pm meeting
@Lena Zentall (Unlicensed) will followup with Liz M about homework from last week’s PPC: “follow up with Basecamp about order of NZ loading confusion with UCSB”

Vanguard testing

  • Timeline for testing, making decisions for the test load data, cleaning up data in preparation for the test load. How much time is needed for each? Does your test plan take an hour or a week? Put this on the SILS Chairs agenda for Aug 12?

  • What questions do we need to ask about the testing to know how much time to allocate? IC (local implementation teams), FGs (testing vanguard decisions)

  • Recommendation is for FGs to create spreadsheets to list what is being testing (one big sheet or one sheet for each group?); how soon does the decision need to be made in order to be implemented for test load?

  • How do we learn from each other during the testing period? will things be posted in Basecamp (ie, I learned x….)? Basecamp is aimed at Ex Libris to answer questions. Is it a bug, or my migration form or something else? where do you post this? Create a problem log? Create a slack channel for reporting problems.

    • Post into Basecamp (if an obvious problem is discovered)? → Need to ask ExL about where they want us to post (i.e. Salesforce vs Basecamp)

    • For learning together – who knows how to do x?

  • How do we learn from each other, in total? Lessons learned at the end of Vanguard.

    • Big takeaways will be reported at the end of October-ish

  • Put testing on the SILS Chairs mtg (needs scoping)

Add Testing to SILS chairs 8/12 agenda

@Caitlin Nelson to ask Marci about where testing communications go.

SILS Chairs meeting: agenda items? (recurring)

Anything to add to the agenda for Aug 12? Coordinating vanguard testing

5

All

  • Solicit guest speakers for vanguard testing?

  • Ask chairs about the idea of a problem log and corresponding slack channel for sharing issues and learning from one another during testing. Are there other ideas for how to do this? How do we include those who are testing, but not part of the cohort?
