Updates

  • Ex Libris consulting contract is making forward progress

  • UCSB created a linked brief bib, and possibly inventory, to allow ordering of an NZ electronic collection. (Order button missing so they can’t order directly.) They then suppressed the IZ bib record. Suppressing the local bib might be overriding the NZ bib and preventing it from showing in their Primo VE.

  • We have a hypothesis of why the order button is missing in the IZs for some NZ electronic collections. We want to test 2 more scenarios and then will provide an update to Ex Libris. (This ticket is currently already being looked at by Ex Libris development so this is just to provide additional information for them as they troubleshoot.)

Notes/Topics for Ex Libris Consulting

Next Quarterly report: Include expectations for campus practices around making order records.

Best Practice: How long to wait for collection to show in CZ vs creating local record? Inventory subteam will look and probably send to Eres for further discussion.

Vanderbilt integrated with Oracle and did a presentation on it.
