Funding Discussion

Determine what we need prior to making a recommendation.

Team

See previous notes from July meeting.

  • What are the benefits of temporary help if positions aren’t fully staffed?

  • Potential Recommendation: accelerate hiring of existing open positions

  • Gem setup meeting with Sherry and Lisa Moske to talk about how CDLNZ-PT staffing recommendation may interact with existing staffing plans.

  • Potential areas of focus (once workflows have been created):

    • Licensing (strong familiarity with licenses required)

    • Building existing purchases into Alma (Most important is following procedures, prior experience with Alma very helpful, financial background not as important)

    • Vendor cleanup

  • Look more into Ex Libris consultant - general idea of pricing (Gem talk to Caitlin)

  • Revisit in around two weeks.

Best Practice: How long to wait for collection to show in CZ vs creating local record? Inventory subteam will look and probably send to Eres for further discussion.

Vanderbilt integrated with Oracle and did a presentation on it.
