All Decisions: Decisions

SCP, SFX, and related resource records handling for eResource records in NZ - VANGUARD

  • Alison Ray: this should be assigned to Resource Management (the Cataloging Group)?

  • Caitlin: this depends on the question on what we do about the SCP?

  • Lynne: what does SCP look like in the NZ?

  • Caitlin: let’s throw this to the PPC first. Susan, Robin: concur.

  • Caitlin: due date May 25, 2020

Order of Network Zone Record Loading - Vanguard

  • Caitlin: the responsible party is Resource Management. Consulted is ILSDC. Group concurs

Will SRLF and NRLF records load with campuses or separately?

  • Cailin: should the IC’s retain ownership of this one for now? And does some more research with ExL first., Group concurs.

  • This decision recorded on the decision page.

(All Phases) Single UC-wide patron record database or separate institutional patron databases? (PDCG)

  • Greg: Patron database: shared or individual? If we go with shared, much Harmonization will be required. Suggests May 29, 2020 as the due date

  • Caitlin: suggests Fulfillment & ILL own this. Group concurs

  • Carlo: Patron Data and Public Service should be consulted. Group concurs

  • These decisions recorded on the decision page.

  • Caitlin: next step is to send an email to the PPC

Should expired patron records be migrated to Alma? (PDCG)

  • Greg: in conversations with peers and other institutions UCSD have regular batch process for obsolete patron records to be deleted. But, other institutions never do this. Do we want to adopt this as a general policy that expired records based on a data not be migrated to Alma. This is more of an issue if we go centralized with patron data. The decision whether Patron Data is institution or shared is a predecessor.
