Review sequencing finalization of UCL stats obligations

  • Comments are due by 2/24

All

If we make a change to ARL stats, we won’t go back to revise the previously-submitted UCOP stats. There will just be a difference.

We approved the document.

ARL stats

Review ARL data

  • walk-through of ARL tab - how to read, what questions AASA-PT is answering, what resource types are included in question 2 and question 4

  • Ready to release to campuses

  • FYI: still gathering CDL data for answering Question 12

Anna and all

The spreadsheet can answer ARL survey questions 1, 2, 4, 17. We had previously discussed when to apply the change related to Atlases physical resources type.

Question 12’s data on consortial spending expected by 2/28. Data expected to be sent to campus contacts, with cc: to our team.

We will just update ARL data this year. UCOP data will reflect the change next year.

Action: Daisy will edit ARL data for atlases by 2/27-28.

Action: We will review ARL data and give feedback to Anna, Daisy by 3/10.

FY24-25 process planning

Review the draft process document

15

Anna and all

AASA-PT Steering group started this draft document. Overview approach in first tab; second tab contains details. Only reviewing the overview tab today.

With flexibility, changes can be made with procedures that don’t work as originally envisioned.

Errors in data can be caught during the review file phase and/or through inspection of the data dictionary.

What benefits did we hope to accomplish by centralizing the data collection 3 years ago? Consistency in how each campus counts stats.

What is our role as campus reps? Reviewing definitions? What do we farm out to campus parties for detailed reviewing of data? At what point can we decide we generally trust the data queries?

When we are asked for a round of review, it should be clear what is included in or meant in that review.

Action: As Steering group begins fleshing out details on process, AASA-PT members should provide input on what we would like to see included.
