After NZ stats compiled last year, exclusion of e-resources not purchased, just “made available.” Question: Should this ACRL & ARL-mandated exclusion be made universal across all other stats? DOAB involves a lot of duplicative ebook records that we don’t want to count all of. Taylor & Francis abstract-only offerings are not really open access, and should not be counted. Indications that a chapter is available does not tell us if the whole book is OA. Generally, OA resources we catalog will be counted. | The question need to be settled by Sept 20. In the absence of comments to the contrary, we will go with global exclusions. | Campuses should give comments if they have any, soon. |

| Does AASA-PT need to provide any additional guidance or a deadline? |
|
| We do not yet have a solution for identifying withdrawn materials in the NZ and are not planning on investigating potential NZ solutions until the fall, after the FY23/24 stats collection period is concluded. In FY22/23 withdrawal stats were reported individually by campuses to their local risk management offices (CDL does not report withdrawal stats to UCOP risk management); these stats were not included in the final public report. In FY23/24, withdrawal stats will need to be handled in a similar way Withdrawals are hard to track even at the IZ level, given the need to distinguish between true withdrawals and data clean up projects involving record deletions. A once-a-year snapshot of what is in every physical collection on a campus would fulfill the needs for risk management. If data cannot be tracked at NZ level, we either do it at IZ level or not at all. (Out of scope for this group; decision page could document this.) | Out of scope for 23/24 stats. Table this at least until the fall, perhaps waiting until we are actually asked for this data. |
