Survey Responses

Local DEIA Metadata Practices & Activities

Decision on how to present this data

@Marcia Barrett

Categorize responses:

  • Active discussions, metadata remediation and prioritization, issues observed (columns BB-BE)

  • Non-LC vocabularies and Non-English metadata used (columns BG-BK)

  • Policies and mechanisms for:

    • handling problematic metadata

    • display of problematic metadata in discovery

    • users to report problematic metadata (columns BN-BU)

  • Needs that could be addressed at the system-wide level, role of a UC-wide body, and other thoughts (columns CC-CE)

Some campuses seem to be waiting for system-wide recommendations rather than implementing practices such as using non-LC vocabularies

Divide responses and create a presentation draft of a category:

@Marcia Barrett Columns BN-BU (purple)

@Claudia Conrad BG-BK (green)

@Israel Yáñez CC-CE (yellow)

@Catherine Busselen draft survey narrative for BB-BF (red)
