Joe would like help reviewing and improving this AFN test. The original he was working from was lacking detail about how to perform each step.

Go-live Resource Sharing Test Plan:

-Timing may be tricky.

-Primo will be delivered a day or two after the Alma environment is delivered.

-This could start on Monday, July 26.

-We’ll need testing partners in the AFN to do some of this work.

-The Go-Live Status sheet is being updated by the ICs.

-The Testing Summary page will show who is partnering up for testing.

-The allowed e-mail list will be in place before we go-live.

-One of the tests focuses on the NCIP workflow. This will go to the production VDX system.

-Joe will be able to help troubleshoot but will need an account at individual Alma sites.

-The Resource Sharing Test Reporting sheet allows for reporting of issues and will help us figure out if problems are occurring at one campus or multiple. Joe will be monitoring this.

-Individuals should report that they are done testing once complete.

-Joe will be testing the CDL adapter.

To Do For Go-Live

  • Jason was going to make some changes to the “On Hold Shelf Letter” form.

• • Elizabeth added some language to indicate who will be doing the work outlined on the page.

(Go-Live) Coordination with CDL and OCLC During Migration:

-The language has been updated to show who is doing which task.

-Unnecessary items have been pruned.

(Go-Live) Temporary Changes to the AFN for Libraries/Services Closed During Covid:

-Instructions have been added for how to turn off AFN lending.

-Berkeley and UC Merced may postpone testing until they have turned on the AFN. As will other campuses that are set to be offline at go-live.

-Some campuses may be temporarily on for testing then go offline after testing.

• Finalized decision page after investigation from Discovery FG should include any configuration instructions (if something can be set up of course), so other campuses can do their own configuration if desired.

• It looks like already Alma campuses do not have a “My ILL” button in Primo.

• Not everyone will be using the UC Davis method for renewals.

Parking Lot

Joe Ferrie is putting together a smoke test protocol for July 26. This will include pairing up with someone from another institution.

Members can add to the parking lot issues that they feel need to be considered or tracked.
