PPC meeting not since go-live

PPC-CDL-NZ 7/30 - met to discuss JSTOR false positives. The entire collection of ebooks was activated in the NZ, so the collection service was turned off and we will rely on SCP records for JSTOR ebook access while CDL finds a long term solution.

8/2 Town Hall Update - Carla: Lots of questions about changing to Get it at UC link resolver, analytics, licenses.

• Still seeing results with no links; is this expected behavior between CDI and the collection still being “active” but with no services in the NZ?

Outbound Linking Workshops - 8/3 first session and explainer video to distribute

• Spreadsheet of updates. Lisa S. is working on a spreadsheet for all UC library staff. Considering hw to distribute this - EUOS, ICs?

• Updates from Nga: have changed outbound links for Ebsco, ProQuest, Engineering Village.

Analytics Issue - Lisa S./ Carla meeting with TSELG on 8/5

AEFG input into TSELG conversation on Analytics to shape this area.

How best to shape this conversation with TSELG, scope of usage stats as well as institutional reporting (UCOP, ARL, IPEDS, etc.)

• How CDL is involved with building out analytics and dashboards, especially for data that used to be in SCP records

• Lists of holdings - how can we tell definitively if we own something via CDL?

• Sharing reports via Analytics Objects

• What will SCLG need in terms of collections data?

• Which metrics do we use? Automated SUSHI, loading COUNTER directly to Alma, or using clickthroughs?

Picking up queries from Slack channel, other areas to assist one another.

Reviewing topics that came up on Slack channel.

• POLs: check e-mail settings

• Invoices/Budget: working around spending beyond allocation/% over budget allowed

• Interested Users: how to avoid sending an e-mail prematurely to users (ie before link is active in Primo) but still automate the process? To what extent can letters be customized? You can customize Alma to send a letter when you hit ‘done’ in the e-activation workflow but this is a ‘by hand’ process.

• Wiley ebooks: what to do with broken links that CDL staff would fix? CDL Helpline ticket? Local work-around with local e-coll.?

Inquiry from Catherine Busselen re: open house/workshop type time. If E-Res is covered enough by subgroup, would this assist with more Acq-focused including topics above?

Open house/office hours time would be good, one for acq and one for e-res
