New Blog coming regarding electronic resource prep. How we can support campuses to prepare. P2E / 856 on the agenda.

Documenting post cleanup data migration test.

They are not going to be pushing recommendations but will make themselves available to campuses if needed.

PPC: from Xiaoli - “PPC has approved all decisions related to electronic resources for test load. If you want to find them, you can limit your search by using "test-load" "all-phases" as show on this screenshot. Please contact me or other PPC members if you have questions.”

Questions should be posted to Basecamp 2 weeks ahead EOD Wednesday for special meetings and EOD Monday for Thursday standard office hours.

  1. Subgroup A “expertise” (Carlo, Lynne, Liz M) Deliverable: Create a document by the end of Nov to be shared with ExLibris.

  2. Subgroup B, part 1 “questions how to” (Tom & Carlo, Greg to create a seed document; crowd source)

  3. Subgroup B, part 2 “external resources” (Lakshmi)- Deliverable: build list of resources over time on Confluence so it’s available to all

  4. Subgroup C: PPC and IC co-chairs will bring suggestions to Steering on 11/30.

Subgroup A: Carlo, Lynne, Liz M are working on this document. The IC’s will get a chance to comment on the document as a Google doc. Then this will go up to Chris and Günter to go to ExL to hopefully reduce the number of poor experiences we’ve had.

Subgroup B: Carlo and Tom will do a quick write up this upcoming week.

IC-hosted Printing-palooza meeting

Use an IC meeting for a UC-led printing meeting. Alma campuses will present. Open it to FGs and local staff. Record the meeting.

Confirm date: Jan 14 was the most popular choice in the slack poll. Does this work?

Next steps:

  • Create Zoom meeting (Done! use existing IC meeting)

  • Identify facilitator

  • Draft talking points

  • Draft agenda

  • Invite speakers

  • Send meeting invite with Zoom link; invite Ex Libris via Marci?

  • Announce meeting (slack, email, etc.)

  • Add meeting to Confluence meeting page & meeting recordings.

IC will put together a spreadsheet to get an idea of the kind of printing that is being done at each campus. : Jeremy / Ramon

Tom will send the invite, include Marci at ExL, announce the meeting via email / slack/ and add the meeting to meeting recordings.

Misc. Followup

  • Integrations email to CIOS: Checkin to see if ICs have any questions and when/if they are planning to send the email.

  • How are you planning to modify the email?

  • How can we use Adrian’s integrations list?

Tom

Most of the ICs indicated that they have either already been in contact with the appropriate CIO or IT department to discuss the needs around SILS. In some cases the decision has been made not to share the email as it is would be redundant in these cases. The question also arose regarding how this email became a need in the first place. Nobody really had an answer. It seemed like all IC’s have had good communication with their respective IT groups.
