EUOS March news release

Confirm no PM red flags in content

10

All

EUOS has pretty much finalized the content for the March news release. The target audience will likely be faculty and possibly also grad students (folks familiar with Melvyl). Much of this content came from previous documents in the SILS project (earlier phases), so I am hopeful that there is nothing controversial here.

Each EUOS team member will take this to their local campus teams. Almost every campus is having their message approved by their UL, or at least by an AUL, it seems. There is variation of each message by campus.

We are also hoping to put up a version of this FAQ on the website. As more features become known, we will continue to add to (and reorder) this FAQ. We also expect that local campuses might copy over this FAQ and add local concerns (such as what is happening to their specific local catalog, or whether they need to use VPN or a proxy, etc).

Please let me know ASAP if any of this content seems too questionable to release, and we will pull it. The projected release date is March 15. Both semester and quarter campuses have their spring break 3/22-3/26 so we hope to get ahead of that.

Looks great. Proceed!

@Lena Zentall (Unlicensed) to share the FAQ submission form with Brian David.

EUOS communications plan for post go-live

Determine if the plans meet expectations/needs

Joanna

  • After go-live, EUOS plans to leave messaging to local teams at each campus. At that point, campuses will have their own Primo configurations and will need to tailor their materials for local campus needs (using their own site’s screenshots, etc.). Comm plan
