Zoom revised passcode mandate

  • Zoom revised passcode mandate: This is the response I received from the UCI Zoom admin: “The information for Universities was that this would be an optional toggle for admins to enable sometime in November. If we activate this feature, it won’t be until Winter break.”

    • In the light of this information, I would suggest that we keep the message very simple (only mention that it is not a  requirement anymore), and then follow up later (maybe in the Winter )if there is any new development.

    • Lena has not yet heard back from Randy K. on timing for OP.

    • This change will possibly be different at each campus based on how their admin sets up the default.

No communication needed until at least November when more information is available.

Revised value propositions with CoUL feedback: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1elov_A3sqbtFjdOSg5TNGQJAsvsEKuu5oVufYu19pto/edit?usp=sharing

What is the framework for sharing the value props in a SILS News?

The project impacts so many areas of the SILS community. This is a project overview and the value propositions for the project.

Replace home page text with the introductory and move the current home page document into a new PDF called Project Background (undated).

@Lena Zentall (Unlicensed) and @Christine Barone (Unlicensed) to review the value props for: bus or library jargon, and does it now describe innovation.
@Ben Alkaly (Unlicensed) will replace sILS website home page text and create PDF for old home page “project background language”.
@Ben Alkaly (Unlicensed) will put the value props as a PDF on the Docs page under phase 4.
@Ben Alkaly (Unlicensed) will draft a SILS News to introduce the value props by Oct 12.
@Ben Alkaly (Unlicensed) will send to Gunter and Chris for final signoff on value props.

Com Leads

  • October 20 Implementation Coordinators are featured guest

  • We don’t want to pressure cohort members to provide questions; the value is bringing people together to learn about the SILS project.

  • Ask chairs if they have input on questions.

  • Share who the monthly speaker will be to prompt questions.

  • For SILS Town Hall for all - 2-3pm on Nov 2. Ben and Adrian will discuss agenda at their meeting next Monday and bring to Op Leads.
