Subteam Roundup

Check-in on OSTs - capture any shared issues or cross-team task

Team

OT: Tom shared the issues surrounding the work plan delays. However, the focus last week was around the immediate issues regarding the outages. A group of us had a good discussion with ExLibris developers on Monday.

DISC: Created confluence document for FRBR recommendation. Sent it on to RM and ERES to gather extra thoughts. Otherwise, nothing new.

RS OST: Decided not to golive with Tipasa in summer 2023 → but no later than summer 2024 ; starting up a ‘testing phase’ with OCLC as they fill the gaps identified in pilot; small group looking into augmenting Alma UC sharing with alma p2p; small group investigating using user groups to fill anonymization gap (outlook very good)

Questions from Slack

FYI on anything quick that came up

Stacy and Michelle will be trying a joint Acquisition and E-Resources group. They propose that folks ask representatives to bring their concerns to DOC representatives. Reporting numbers are vastly incorrect. Librarians are unable to discover items that should be accessible. “half a million books” missing (unavailable). Book packages for Wiley, Cambridge, Springer, T&F, and more. Two years worth. Want to know if the rest of the chairs feel like their groups feel the same and are willing to back their proposed actions.

Stacy and Michelle will be sending Tom an email with some details on what is affected by CDL data delays. Tom will bring this to the OT as an escalation to be brought up to LG for Strategic Discussion as this is having a major affect on reporting as well as the ability to accomplish original work plans and goals from the Implementation Phase.

Light meeting notes. There were not a lot of specific tickets to discuss. However, we successfully convinced ExL developers to meet regarding important issues. (usage stats in the NZ, and Tipasa integration).
