Proposal: update work plan to reflect Daisy’s prototype Work Plan

Task update

• Regarding the investigation into whether anonymization impacts circulation by user group, EL says that it does not; but their documentation also does not reflect that anonymization impacts ILL.

Decision: We should add DN’s prototype to the work plan.

Update - Decision page for RLF reporting is ready for feedback

Discussion

• We now have reporting options (functionality-wise), so the decision page reflects this.

• One additional edit, as a potential con for Option 1: Responsibility for replacement still resides with original depositor; for risk management and practical reasons, Option 1 wouldn’t work (need to see distribution by original campus depositor).

• Pursuing option 1, or a variation, would greatly change UCLA and UCB data reporting - another con.

• Edit to the heading - Options Considered - to represent that these are the options functionally possible now for Network-level reporting.

• Also TBD - for Special Collections & Archives reporting, we are excluding those holdings for AA reporting for campuses; should we exclude SC&A from RLF reporting too (so each campus SC&A unit reports their campus-based and RLF-based SC&A).

General edits to decision pages

• We want to have descriptive titles that make sense to SILS folks not directly involved in AASA-PT

• Some context/background may also be helpful.

Check in on campus forms & other query filters needed in NZ

There are several forms, that campuses should complete to provide inputs to DN to further refine the prototypes.

1. Special Collections (what to exclude and how)

2. DDA

3. Course reserves circulation (print) - ARL excludes Course Reserves in circ counts

4. Groupings of libraries or locations (to represent reporting units)

Discussion

• UCB is still collecting input; UCB does not have any print course reserves (so N/A for print course reserves). Chan will identify Affiliates for an Affiliates Grouping.

• Regarding eDDA, might need another decision page to unpack the nuance around that.
