Work Plan Check-in

 

 

 

  • Elizabeth - Met with local group, have asked people to determine what they need training on.

  • Dominique - no progress. Meeting with IC to talk strategy on how to get input.

  • Erika - local group met. Decided to make it a requirement that people who had been in the last migration are required to fill out the info. Due November 16th.

  • Antoinette - have received one comment - person indicated the need for training around collaboration and network zone. Documentation on the wiki was put together by IT/web services, and doesn’t exactly align with specific department work.

  • Josephine - met locally to reintroduce the form. Has been filled out at this point by fulfillment.

  • Sylvia - met locally, was asked to make a local version of the form to fill out. Will present it next week.

  • Katie - have received a few responses. Full responses due November 13.

  • Bonnie - have reached out, no responses yet. Documentation isn’t ready to share, needs to be processed first.

  • Catherine - meeting next week. Most people who would be involved in filling this out are also testing. Focusing on day 1 to try to encourage involvement locally.

  • Peter - Mostly focusing on issues with data and testing. Have received some responses. Some people will not be certified until February.

  • Brian - Implementation team meeting next week to discuss further. CDL’s considerations are unique, will need to spend some time figured out how.

Debrief from EXL meeting last week, continue into a discussion around workshops

 

 

 

How do people feel about doing a pre-survey with input from campuses around upcoming workshops?

  • Not as much customization as we would like.

  • Potentially talk through assigning weeks for campuses.

  • Mixed responses to previous workshops.

Next steps

  • Neil to push EXL to provide the list of weeks they are holding for the campuses.

  • Focus on the new campuses first, then the existing campuses.

  • Scheduling will be dependent on where that campus will be in the semester / quarter.

  • CDL needs some clarity on how they will attend the workshop(s).

Responding to training messages

 

 

 

Reminder: as you push out more messages to group and ask them to provide feedback and ask questions: everyone in this group is able and welcome to respond to those questions, regardless of which campus they come from. Cc the group or the specific rep as applicable.

Do defer to the person from that campus to respond first - if they are unable to then you can step in.

Master list of trainings on confluence

 

 

 

There are a lot of trainings, and its easy to miss some. The google doc is locked to only SILS cohort members, but support staff also need the information. Is difficult to manage.

General agreement from the group that this would be a good idea.

New essentials training presence on confluence

 

 

 

Either need to create new page or update existing page:

Need new title for the page and dates for each training. Resource management is being merged into 2 sessions rather than 3.

Team decided to create a new page.

Brian will create the new page and make modifications, will ping Neil when it is done.
