DISCOVERY VISION: We strive to design and implement the best possible discovery and delivery experience for our end users using data-driven decision making. We envision a network zone experience that will allow users to discover library materials across UC collections without sacrificing relevant results. As such, the default search and results interface should prioritize the success of typical users while providing additional functionality for more advanced users.

5	MARC Fields in Primo	Introduce group to document	25 min	Lisa & Sharon	Summary of discussion: Lisa and Sharon reported on work are doing. What MARC fields do we want to harmonize? If we do harmonize, do we harmonize label names? Lisa created a spreadsheet where campuses can add MARC fields and display labels (search, display, and facets). This spreadsheet would then be targeted at catalogers and discovery admins. Do we need to Harmonize search and facets normalization rules (which would require re-indexing)? If yes, do we need a central place to put normalization rules.		Jess will bring this issue back to PCC to begin a conversation with the Resource management group. Each Campus should document there MARC fields and display labels in Lisa’s Spreadsheet.

Or can these decisions go to go live? 1. Take out reference Primo NZ, 2. Section on Library search needs to inlcude UC library Search branding, 3. Harmoninzing on where branding goes? Do we need to make systemwide recommendations? Specific places to put it? 4. Are we maintaining campus branding? Yes. 5. Where to put word mark? Harmonize? The expectation is that branding location will be standard.		Jess will provide a mock-up of branding using the wordmark
