DISCOVERY VISION: We strive to design and implement the best possible discovery and delivery experience for our end users using data-driven decision making. We envision a network zone experience that will allow users to discover library materials across UC collections without sacrificing relevant results. As such, the default search and results interface should prioritize the success of typical users while providing additional functionality for more advanced users.

1	Updates			Josephine Jess Sarah	PPC Update (Josephine) BWCD to be approved asynch this week From ExL re: the sometimes disappearing facets: “There is a JIRA defect for this : Primo VE Facets occasionally fail to display in searches. The fix is planned to be in Oct 2021 Release.” Update on Institution Name (Jess) ExLibris confirmed Organization name is the only place to configure this Changing Org name has cascading consequences, especially for already-Alma campuses Can be done via JavaScript - worth the maintenance and level of effort?		@Jess Waggoner will ask UCSC developer about JavaScript to change Org name on UC Libraries facet & full record display
2	Exclude from Discovery Network	Members are prepared to configure and test new search profiles		Jess	Configuration and Testing document		ALL will identify testing groups 1-7 within 2 weeks; add excluded items for other campuses to test; Perform testing by approx. Sept. 14 @Jared Campbell will attempt Normalization Rule for 520 field
