SILS Meeting Announcements Best Practices

 

When planning a SILS open to all meeting or training SILS Leadership Group recommendation is to 

 

  • Send out a “hold the date” announcement 

    • Brief information is okay

    • Zoom link doesn’t have to be included 

    • Send this at least 3-4 weeks before the meeting

  • Send out a reminder 

    • Include links to any pre-reads 

    • Include any additional information about the meeting

    • Include the Zoom link 

    • Send this at least 1 week before the meeting

  • Send out a second reminder 

    • Include links to any pre-reads 

    • Include any additional information about the meeting

    • Include the Zoom link 

    • Send this at least the day before the meeting

Send to this list when you want to involve only those involved in the SILS governance structure, that is, members of the SILS groups.
