Checkin/quick updates/anything from parking lot, slack or email

  • Don’t forget to check the Task report for your outstanding tasks and check them off when done.

All

  • Join CoUL Feb meeting to hear the discussion on publicity. Save these times: 2/24 2:15-3:15 or 2/25 1-3. Danielle will let us know what the actual time is next week.

    • 3 areas

      • Internal cohort

      • UC-wide

      • Wider community: media public relations. Suggestion to source a 3rd member of Com Leads specifically for this work.

  • A&B: Discussion about scope of PR work.

@Christine Barone (Unlicensed) and @Lena Zentall (Unlicensed) to inform SILS Steering of the need for a 3rd person to join the Com Leads with PR expertise for external communications.
@Ben Alkaly (Unlicensed) and @Adrian Petrisor will draft a description of the media relations role for Christine and Lena to share with Chris & Günter.
2

SILS dashboard with what’s happening in the project at a glance.

  • Updates with bulleted one-liners that provide current updates - could be shared with campuses to be shared out (versus put on the Confluence home page which might intimidate some folks)

  • Call out when diff staff would be involved (e.g., staff training in June), that is, when do they need to care.

  • scope of time to cover? month? (test with actual content to see what makes sense)

Editorial calendar (recurring)

Ben, Adrian

What’s on deck? Anything we need to think ahead about?

  • RMFG would be a great deep dive “success story” for SILS cohort or SILS news. Share the best practices RMFG used in communicating and decision-making for future SGTF. - March SILS News? (discussed 1/26)

    • Q&A after WG presentation - Ben & Adrian will review

    • Angles: Best practices, using SG tools

      • Most worried about this functional area (cataloging)

  • Coming together to share experience and ask questions: UC Alma/Primo Google group. SILS Cohort message. (SILS TH on Feb 16 and email on Feb 17 )

  • “Buddy System” - Are local teams satisfied w/ existing channels, or is more “mentorship” needed? Today’s mtg: taking temperature.

Do a roundtable at the March SILSTH on decision making best practices (and communicating best practices). Invite RMFG. Ask other chairs to volunteer.

@Ben Alkaly (Unlicensed) and @Adrian Petrisor to draft questions for the roundtable on decision-making.
